Name – The name of the institution shall be Handicapped Welfare Institution Area:- Its area of operation is Balasore district

Date of Establishment :- 01.02.1981

REGISTERED OFFICE:

Its registered office shall be located presently at Mission Compound, P.O. Balasore in the District of Balasore,

Any change in address of the registered office shall be duly intimated to the Add!. Registrar of Societies, Balasore and to the Collector / District Social Welfare Officer, Balasore. The Executive Committee of the Institution shall be competent to shift the registered office to anywhere else in Balasore Town area.

OBJECTS:

The objects of the institution shall be as follows:

• To promote programmes for improvement of living condition and life-style of handicapped persons and handicapped children.
• To impart scientific knowledge to the public in general and to women in particular,about birth of handicapped children and children becoming handicapped after birth.
• To establish and maintain clinics, dispensaries and health centres for treatment of handicapped persons and children.
• To take up projects employing as far as possible, handicapped people.
• To open short-term training centers for imparting training to handicapped persons in various trades and techniques for self employment.
• To open schools for physically handicapped and mentally retarded children within the appropriate age group.
• To render financial assistance to poor handicapped students for prosecuting studies in High Schools, Colleges etc.
• To take health camps for the benefit of handicapped persons at different places of the district.
• To arrange seminars, workshops and debates at different places of the district concerning welfare of handicapped persons.
• To distribute hearing-aids, artificial limbs, tri-cycles etc. to handicapped persons.
